Every Game Releasing in July 2026 - Complete List

July doesn't mess around this year.

We've got a Halo revival, another Doom expansion, an Assassin's Creed remake, and more indie releases than you can count. Whether you're on PS5, Xbox, PC, or Switch, there's something landing in your library this month. Here's everything releasing in July 2026, sorted by date.

The Big Ones - Don't Miss These

Before we get into the full list, let's talk about the games that actually matter this month.

Halo: Campaign Evolved (July 28 - Xbox Series X, PC, PS5)

Halo: Campaign Evolved is the one I've been watching most closely. A reimagining of the original Halo: Combat Evolved built from the ground up, this isn't a remaster - it's a full rebuild. The fact that it's coming to PS5 as well as Xbox is still something I'm processing. Halo on PlayStation. We live in strange times. But if 343 (or whatever Microsoft calls the studio these days) has done justice to one of the most important FPS campaigns ever made, this could be July's game of the month without question.

Doom: The Dark Ages - Revelations (July 7 - Xbox Series X, PC, PS5)

The game continues what id Software started earlier this year. The Dark Ages was already one of 2026's best games - brutal, fast, and meaty in a way modern shooters rarely are. Revelations is a substantial expansion that takes the medieval demon-slaying in new directions. If you haven't played The Dark Ages yet, now is the time to fix that before Revelations drops.

Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced (July 9 - Xbox Series X, PC, PS5)

AC Black Flag Resynced brings back one of the best games in the entire AC franchise. Black Flag was the pirate game before pirate games were everywhere, and it holds up better than most people expect. Resynced promises updated visuals and quality of life improvements while keeping the sailing, shanties, and swashbuckling intact. For anyone who missed it the first time - or wants an excuse to replay it - this is a no-brainer.

Rhythm Heaven Groove (July 2 - Nintendo Switch)

Rhythm Heaven Groove is Nintendo doing what Nintendo does best - making something simple look effortless. The Rhythm Heaven series has always been underrated, and a new entry on Switch with modern presentation could be exactly the kind of surprise hit that defines a summer.

Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game (July 23 - All Platforms)

Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game is the wildcard of the month. Avatar has a passionate fanbase and fighting games are having a moment right now. Whether this delivers or disappoints, it's going to get attention.

July 2026 - Full Release List by Date

July 1

A massive wave of PC releases kicks off the month. Highlights include SpeedRunners 2: King of Speed (PC/PS5/XSX/Switch) - the sequel to the chaotic multiplayer racer that was a staple of couch gaming for years — and Empire in Decay (PC/XSX/Switch), a strategy game that's been quietly building anticipation in early access circles.

Other July 1 releases: Ore & Odds, Just Dying, The Old Man and His Cat, Evolution Survival, Tomboy Adventure 2, Love in Space, Cat-Astrophy, Tales of Tonbrook, Fractured Library, Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds TMNT Pack, Valkyrie Tune: Synthesis of Souls, Antichrist (PC/PS5), Where Winds Meet: Hidden Mountain (all platforms), EverQuest Legends, and many more.

July 2

Rhythm Heaven Groove (Switch) and Hyperwired (all platforms) headline a lighter day. Hyperwired is a fast-paced action game that's been compared to Ghostrunner - high praise if it delivers.

July 3

Quieter day. Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024: World Update 22 adds US National Parks on July 4th - appropriately timed for American players.

July 7

Doom: The Dark Ages - Revelations and Outward 2 both drop today. Outward 2 is the sequel to the cult RPG that punished you for everything and made you love it anyway. Fans of the original have been waiting years for this.

Also releasing: Moonlight Peaks (PC/Mobile/Switch) - a cozy life sim with a supernatural twist that's been on a lot of wishlists.

July 8

The Elder Scrolls Online: Season One - Return of the Thieves Guild (PC/PS5/XSX) adds a new chapter to ESO's ongoing story. If you're still playing ESO, this is your next content drop.

July 9

One of the busiest days of the month. Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, EA Sports College Football 27, Granblue Fantasy: Relink - Endless Ragnarok, and Echoes of Aincrad all land today.

EA Sports College Football 27 deserves a special mention - college football games were absent from gaming for over a decade before the series returned, and each new entry has improved significantly. If you care about American football at all, this is worth your time.

July 13

The Alters: Last Variable (PC/PS5/XSX) - an expansion to one of the more interesting sci-fi games of the year. The Alters asked genuinely strange questions about identity and choice. Last Variable continues that conversation.

July 16

The Guild: Europa 1410 brings the medieval city-builder/RPG series back after a long absence. Kyoto Xanadu: The Blooming Phantom arrives on PC/PS5/Switch for fans of Falcom's action RPGs.

July 23

Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game arrives on all platforms. Also notable: The Deepest Castle and several other indie releases round out a busy Thursday.

July 28

Halo: Campaign Evolved - the biggest release of the month, possibly the biggest of the summer until GTA 6 in November. Mistfall Hunter (PC/PS5/XSX) also launches nearby on July 29 - a monster-hunting action RPG that's been compared favorably to early Monster Hunter titles.

July 30–31

The month closes with Blue Reflection series - Koei Tecmo is dropping multiple Blue Reflection titles simultaneously on July 30 (Blue Reflection, Second Light, Ray, Sun, and Quartet). That's an unusual release strategy but a good opportunity to catch up on the entire series at once.

Paw Patrol: Dino World (July 31, all platforms) closes out the month for the youngest gamers in your household.

The Bottom Line

July 2026 is a solid month. It's not the explosive summer drop that August sometimes delivers, but Halo: Campaign Evolved alone makes it worth paying attention to. Add Doom Revelations, AC Black Flag Resynced, and a handful of interesting indies and you've got a month with something for almost everyone.
